Jason is the oldest of the Malorys, being 45 when first
we meet him in Love
Only Once. Big, blonde, green-eyed, and handsome, he has been the head
of the family since the tender age of 16. A quiet, serious, and very proper man,
at 22 he fell in love with a family maid, Molly Fletcher, but because of their
positions, they felt it imperative to keep their relationship a secret. So when
Molly became pregnant with Jason's son, they decided that he would be told that
his mother and father never married and that she died soon after having him.
Molly continued to live with Jason as his love and mistress, even after he
married Lady Frances to give Derek and his niece Regina a mother. Eventually
Frances, who had no love for Jason, and was in fact intimidated by him, demanded
a divorce. After that, the whole truth behind Derek's birth came out, and Jason
was finally allowed to share his feelings for Molly with his family, and give
his son a real mother.
Edward Malory:
Edward has the same looks as most of the Malory clan,
being blond and green-eyed, although he tends to run a bit stouter than his
brothers. Second oldest, he's one year younger than Jason. An easy-going,
good-humored man, Edward is the brains in the family, being a whiz with all
things financial. He also supplies the Malorys with most of the younger
generation, having two sons and three daughters with his wife Charlotte, whom he
married at 22. He dotes on his wife and children, and seems to get put in the
position of being peace maker quite often.
Melissa Malory Ashton:
Melissa was the only sister of the four Malory
brothers. Seven years younger than Edward, she had the striking black hair and
slanted, cobalt blues eyes that came from her Malory grandmother, who was
rumored to be a Gypsy. She met and married the Earl of Penwich, Thomas Ashton,
and together they had one daughter, Regina. Unfortunately, two years later,
Thomas and Melissa both perished in a fire that destroyed their home, and Regina
was sent to be raised by Jason and his brothers.
 James
Malory
Two years younger than his sister is big, brawny,
green-eyed James. Devistatingly handsome, he earned quite the reputation as a
lady's man in his younger years, and his experiences with cheating wives left
him quite jaded on the subject of marriage. He spent ten years outcast by his
family after abducting his own niece, Regina, for a summer. It didn't help
matters that by this time he was already known as the ruthless pirate, Captain
Hawke. It was during this time that he met his bastard son, Jeremy, working in a
tavern where he had been raised by his mother until her death. Learning he was a
father, he gave up his wild ways and became a planter, returning to England only
to seek revenge on an old adversary who turned out to be married to
"Regan". Once home, he soon became reunited with his brothers, who
forgave and forgot when they learned he was no longer pirating. Then at 36, he
met fiesty, American Georgina Anderson, and all his theories on marriage were
blown out of the water. Compromising her and getting her pregnant, he forced her
brothers to force him into marriage, and soon became the happy husband and
father of baby Jaqueline, or "Jack", as he likes to call her. With his
off-kilter sense of humor, his love of a good fight, his stubborn streak, and
his over protective sense of family, he's not always easy to live with, but
extremely worth the effort for "George".
 Anthony
Malory
One year younger than James, Tony is another throw back
to his Malory grandmother with his black hair and blue eyes. He is taller and
slimmer than his older brothers, but still has plenty of ability to partake in
one of his favorite past times, a good fight. He's blessed with the same strange
sense of humor as James and that, combined with his heart-stopping good looks
and endless charm, has earned him the reputation of being quite the carefree
rake. That is, until he meets the Scottish beauty, Roslynn Chadwick. Fleeing
from her cousin Geordie, who wants to marry her only to get his hands on her
inheritance, she intends to keep her promise to her grandfather and marry a man
that can protect her and her property from her unscrupulous cousin. Fortunately
for her, that man turns out to be Tony. She sneaks her way into his bachelor's
heart, and soon they are blissfully married with a daughter of their own,
Judith.

 Derek
Malory
Derek is the oldest of the Malory offspring, being 23
when introduced. Derek, again, has the classic Malory looks, blond hair, green
to hazel eyes, and plenty of hard muscles. He grew up with the stigma of being a
bastard and believed that his mother had died soon after having him. A bit of a
scamp, he was well on his way to following in his two younger uncles footsteps,
when he met pretty Kelsey Langton being sold to the highest bidder at an
auction. Seeing that the man bidding on her was an old enemy, Derek felt he had
to save Kelsey from that cruel fate and he bought her himself, never dreaming
that she was actually a lady in desperate need of money to save her family.
Derek quickly comes to realize there is more to Kelsey than meets the eye and
equally quickly, he falls in love with her. Quick thinking on the part of cousin
Reggie saved the day, and the two avoided scandal and were allowed to marry.
Along the way, Derek also found out that his mother was alive and well and had
actually had a big part in raising him, being a beloved family servant.
Marshall Malory
Two years younger than Derek, Marshall is also Edward's
oldest child. He takes after his father with his care-free good nature, and
after his mother with his brown hair and warm brown eyes, making him a rarity in
the Malory clan.
Clare Malory
Clare is a year younger than her brother Marshall, and
is a very pretty, tall blond with her mother's brown eyes, although she feels a
bit overshadowed by the striking looks of her younger sister Amy and cousin
Reggie. After two years of searching, she finally finds a man to suit her,
Walter, and she settles to the country to live in content.
Travis Malory
Travis comes along a year after Clare, and is Edward's
only other son. Again, he has his mother's brown hair and eyes, and his father's
warm personality.
 Regina
Ashton Eden
Reggie (or Regan, as Uncle James likes to call her) is
the same age as her cousin Travis. Sent to live with her Uncle Jason at 2 when
her parents died, Reggie again has the black hair and cobalt eyes attributed to
her great-grandmother Malory. Her life has been full of adventure, and she has
spent lots of time with her lively cousins and with her bachelor Uncle Tony. At
12, she was abducted by her Uncle James. Being in the midst of his pirate days,
James wasn't allowed much time with her, so he grabbed her for the summer and
was promptly outcast by the family when he returned her. At 17, she was once
again abducted by a highwayman impressed by her beauty, but fortunately was
quickly saved by her older cousin Derek. Then at 19, she was kidnapped
mistakenly by notorious rake, Nicholas Eden, Lord Montieth. He quickly realized
his error, but not before sampling the charms of the beautiful woman he couldn't
quite resist. When her uncles found out, they quickly forced Nicholas into an
engagement with the help of his aunt and grandmother. Secretly being a bastard
himself, Nicholas tried all he could to get out of the marriage, but Reggie
would have none of it, discovering she was pregnant herself. So they were
married, and Nicholas promptly dumped her on the woman who had raised him and
hated him. He eventually returned, not being able to get the beautiful Reggie
out of his system, and he found his son, Thomas Ashton Malory Eden, had been
born. He also found out that his beloved aunt was actually his mother, and that
Reggie gave not an ounce of care to his parentage, and in fact, loved him very
deeply, as he did her. With all that behind them, they were very happy in their
new family.
Diana Malory
Diana is a year younger than her cousin Reggie and is
Edward's second daughter. Again, like her sister Clare, she is a pretty,
brown-eyed blond, and upon her coming out at age 17, she almost immediately
meets the man for her and marries to live happily-ever-after.
Jeremy Malory
Jeremy is a year younger than his cousin Diana, and is
the bastard son that James just happened across in his pirating days, having no
clue that the boy even existed. So at the age 11, Jeremy suddenly found himself
whisked away from the life he knew in a tavern, and into the life of his pirate
father. When he was injured in a battle on the seas, James gave up his pirating
ways and became a planter in the islands so his son would be safe. Jeremy is
another Malory with those wicked Gypsy characteristics, black hair, blue eyes,
and being taller and slimmer than his father, he really looks like he should be
his Uncle Tony's son. And being the most unbelievably handsome Malory, he's
quickly learning to keep up the family reputation of being quite the ladies man.
Irrepresible, and slightly irresponsible, he's very loyal to his new-found
family, an has quickly won his place is all of their hearts.
 Amy
Malory
Born the same year as Jeremy, Amy is the youngest
daughter of Edward and Charlotte. She also has the black hair and blue eyes of
her Gypsy kin, and she also has the strong, stubborn personality that most of
the Malorys possess. When she first lays eyes on her Aunt Georgie's older
brother Warren at 17, she knows she has to have him. But Warren Anderson had his
heart broken eight years earlier, and that has turned the once care-free man
into a hard, cynical grouch. But Amy won't be put off, and when she meets him
again 6 months later, she begins her crusade to melt his heart. From the first
whispered "I want you, Warren Anderson", which shocked the hell out of
him, bold and honest Amy lets him know that he doesn't stand a chance. And
slowly but surely, she insinuates her way into his heart, until an old enemy
kidnaps her to get to Warren, and they are both taken to America. Along the way,
Warren finds he can no longer resist Amy's charms and they end up beginning an
affair, only to be discovered by Uncles Tony and James when they find them
together after following them. But Amy won't have Warren forced into marriage,
so her patience is tried again while she waits for Warren to discover he can't
live without her. But discover this he does, and they end up very much together,
Warren once again happy with the world.
Thomas Ashton Malory Eden
Thomas is, so far, the only son of Nicholas and Regina
Eden. And he has the same black hair and blue eyes as his mother, so expect this
boy to grow up quite the lady killer.
Judith Malory
Judith is the daughter of Anthony and Roslynn, and is a
beautiful baby with her mother's gloriuos red-gold hair, and her father's wicked
cobalt blue eyes.
Jacqueline Malory
Jacqueline, or Jack, as her father stubbornly insists
on calling her, is the baby daughter of James and Georgina. With the blond hair
of her father, she's already on her way to becoming a true-blue Malory.
Brandon Malory
Brandon is the son of Derek and Kelsey.
Eric Anderson
Eric is the first son of Warren and Amy.
Jaime Malory
Jaime is Anthony and Roslynn's beautiful second
daughter.
Cheryl Malory
